At Full Stretch

Poor Jack heron. We disturb him nearly every morning when we walk around our neighbour's lake. Today he was perched on the island landing stage and took off towards the south west where the bankside leaves are turning and the bog beans and waterlilies are fading. His wingspan is around two metres.
