Victoria Clock Tower, Ripon

Today was perfect for a walk around Ripon and along the river.
This is the Victoria Clock Tower built in 1897 to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria. There is a statue of Queen Victoria herself on the corbel over the doorway.

The clock was an hour ahead as it has not yet been adjusted for the end of British Summer Time which happened last night. It is good, however, to see that the clock is actually working.
