Across the Potager

The season tickets I bought back in mid March have proved to be terrific value.

Here we are again at Arley, looking across the potager to the big glasshouse, where the tomatoes and chillis are at the end of their season.

I am liking the yellowing leaves of the shrub roses at this time of year, a real splash of colour.

We’re back to Greenwich Mean Time today. I changed several clocks and timers manually first thing this morning. Much more reliable than advanced technology. Our gas fired central heating is controlled via British Gas’s “Hive” technology. The clock change resulted in our boiler failing, so no heat this evening. Until at near 10pm it decided to wake up. It ought to be renamed “Mule”.
