Dissolving

Most of the salt has vanished, almost overnight, and the duck-hunters have arrived (extra), limiting my exploration to the area nearest to the road. I hope the ducks have the good sense to stay safely in Palo Alto. There's just one little area where the salt destruction is not yet complete - I wonder how long it will last?
