Queen’s View

Our wild camp was nice and quiet till a train heading to Inverness gave a loud whistle. I had been awake since 5 anyway.

I managed to persuade my homing pigeon to take a little detour to Queen’s View near Pitlochry. (We last came 50 years ago on our return from living in Hong Kong. We took Mr C’s sister with us to visit their aunt in Bonar Bridge. The cousins had a summer job on the salmon nets and we had a fun time rowing and catching crabs.). The autumn. colours were magnificent along the road to reach the car park which was surprisingly busy considering it was 9.30 am on a Monday.

He was also persuaded to come off the M90 at Loch Leven where we had a short walk before hitting the last part of the journey

We drove over 950 miles this trip. We are home for a rest!
