A chess piece or a pepper mill

Mentioned to hubs that I hadn't got a blip today.  I have a really heavy head cold so not been out.  He reminded me that he had given me the first piece of his wood turning.  It's not bad for his first real attempt.  He says it is a large chess piece - he is going to do somethingnviththe toto make it into a rook.  I think it looks more like a pepper mill and would look lovely with a brass bit on the top if the grinder.  It needs a bit more sanding but I love it whatever it is -  and I'll probably use it as a paper weight!  (Once I have sanded it a bit smoother.)
