Anticipating spring

An early evening walk down to the fishing lakes. This spring, one of three or four feeding the lakes, is in full flow after the recent snow melt. This group of springs form the source of the River Great Ouse which flows through Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk to the Wash. This particular little stream forms a messy, marshy area before it enters the lake and I imagine this is going to be an exciting place for dragonflies and other insects as the weather warms up. So many new places to explore!
