Raindrops on petals

This evening I went with S to the poetry evening at Kumeu, a village northwest of Auckland city. She was last of the four poets to read. She was worth the wait. We didn't stay for the full musical second half, as I'm on call again all this week, and got a number of texts early on. Thought it best to get back.

Late afternoon I had my first bit of running since the surgery. Went very well. Beside the walkway through the Arch Hill Reserve were these beautiful orange flowers. I neither ran nor stomped through them.
