Stafford Town 2 Ashby Ivanhoe 3

I suspect that this was my last chance to see live football until December. If I understand the new rules correctly it looks like elite football can continue (with no supporters) while grassroots football will cease.

Today's match was a Midland League Division 1 game between Stafford Town and the wonderfully named Ashby Ivanhoe. The game was spoilt slightly by an endless stream of niggling tackles and free kicks and both sides had players sent off. Nevertheless there were a couple of good goals and this is Ashby's first goal as the striker (jn blue)  rounds the goalkeeper.

No worries about social distancing today as for most of the game I was on my own at one end of the ground.
