Looking for the beauty

Polzeath, Rock, Padstow, Wadebridge and Newquay

A busy day and one of my favourites of the whole holiday today. Choosing a photo was so difficult as the scenery was just stunning and I got lots of beautiful photos.
We had a lovely breakfast and then packed up and left Bude. We headed towards Polzeath which I remember visiting as a child. The weather was gorgeous and standing looking down at the beach was lovely. We followed the coastal path towards Rock, walking on beaches, up hills and finally on very soft sand towards the ferry. The sky above Padstow was almost black yet behind us it was blue with only a few clouds. We were lucky that the tide was out and the ferry crossing was really quick. We walked into Padstow and had a Cornish pasty and a cake for lunch. We needed to shelter as we ate lunch as it started to rain so we found Rick Stein's fish place and managed to shelter outside until the rain had stopped.
We had a quick wander around the shops but, unfortunately it was too busy to socially distance safely so we headed back to the ferry and returned to Rock. The queue for the ferry was really long and the journey took longer as the tide had come in but it was great to see the Doom Bar and have a delicious milkshake in Rock before walking back to the car.
We headed towards Newquay to our new hotel, stopping in Wadebridge for some tea on the way.
