Looking for the beauty

Devon and Dorset day 5

Today we went on a coastal walk that was recommended by the hotel hosts from Beesands to Start Bay. We also walked to Start Point lighthouse and then onto Mattiscombe Sands before returning to Beesands. The weather was overcast when we started out but by the time we got to Start Point the sun was shining and the views were stunning. The path was a bit scary in places but I have never seen so much wildlife on a walk which included about 8 different types of butterfly and even a huge orange moth. I would definitely recommend this walk if you're in the area. In total we walked 7 miles and rewarded ourselves with a delicious ice cream at the end.
Afterwards, we went to Kingsbridge to look around and find somewhere for tea. I was a bit disappointed with the shops and everywhere we tried was either closed due to Covid or was fully booked so we headed to Tescos to buy some bits and pieces for a tea at the hotel.
