If you can't beat them...

Christmas Cactus

Why does the scientific world keep changing what they call things.   When I first started working with plants this was Zygocactus truncata.  Now it has become Schlumbergera truncata.   They have even in some areas messed around with the common names.  Pheasants have become Common Pheasants, we know they are common why do we need to add it to the name!

Rant over back to the blip.  This cactus clearly hasn't glanced at the calendar!  It used to belong to Clickychick's late mother, then it did as expected a mass of blooms in December/January.   Now it produces two or three flowers and repeats over the period October to January.  Strange.
