If you can't beat them...

Tree Sparrow (Passer montanus)

Yet another day of constant heavy rain and high winds.  Yet again I turned to birds through the window for my blip.

The number of Tree Sparrows has been slowly growing.  We had a single for a long time but it has risen slowly to five today.  As Tree Sparrows are a species in decline this slight improvement is welcome.  This shot has caught the identification feature of the cheek spot on the white cheek and the brown crown.   Both sexes are the same.
