If you can't beat them...

The Tudor.

Well it used to be.  In my early days in Penrith and for a lot of years afterwards the brownish pinkish building was a café and bar.  Then it was taken over by Greggs and the bar disappeared.   Now it is a charity café called the gathering.  A meeting place for young people.

The blip is of the interesting part, that is actually the back, the date stone says 1563 with the initials R B.  I think this is probably the first time I have walked along this lane in the last 18 months to 2 years.  We had been out to the Lodge moving all the furniture.  We should have had guests for a month but the lockdown put paid to that.   At the end of the months new carpets are being fitted, so we thought why wait.

Clickychick wanted to pop into a shop on the way back.  After driving round town looking for a parking space we ended up behind the church.  This fortunately lead to my blip for today.
