peace...

...to you

with a pale yellow rose - which is one meaning represented by this lovely flower... i also knew yellow roses typically stood for friendship - removing the usual romanticism associated with roses - thereby making it appropriate to send them to both males and females... i thought i was doing very well with these tidbits of knowledge - but pretty much, it ended there - boo! my search turned up these other interesting morsels:

-can be used to help with apologies - as a sense of renewal or starting over
-has been associated with the sun throughout history - light and warmth is integral to life on earth - and this associates with the yellow rose
-represents joy - wisdom - power in eastern cultures
-in victorian times they were used to express jealousy and infidelity
-a yellow rose with no thorns could indicate love at first sight - happiness and esteem

all around - the yellow rose is a gesture of goodwill... it is a flower meant to bestow happiness - cheerfulness to those not feeling well - or who may be out of sorts, under the weather - to bring sunshine into the life of someone not quite themselves - it's a great choice to brighten their day - to make it...

a

happy day.....
