Peak

More backlit goodness down in the woods; the oak trees seem to be reaching their peak in leaf colour and are among the last to drop.

I did a short circuit round by the Red Brick Dam and the meadow.  The mandarin ducks are still in residence at the dam - I suspect this is the same group that appeared down on the river next to the nature reserve a month or so ago, but when the water gets into a flood state they migrate half a mile up the hill.
