Cold Face

I intended to make a more interesting blip but I was prevented by the need to reconfigure my bedroom and the impulse to scour through old images on the Library of Congress website. This 1907 photograph takes the cake, to my mind. Never mind what's in the cake.

This image is the west face of a B&B in my neighborhood which I posted shortly after I started blipping. I pass it on the way to the house I'm fixing up these days. I thought the sky looked interesting behind the turrets and gables, so I stopped and snapped. My face was freezing. It was the only thing I took pictures of all day. It's one of the most beautiful and perhaps the most grand house around here. Warm as toast inside.
