Blue Heron

I'm not out there looking for birds, but I love it that November has turned out to be Bird Month so far!! This heron is a regular in one of the campus fields that we pass on our walk. Their concentration and focus is amazing. When he's on point nothing disturbs him--cars, trucks, runners, walkers, we're all just background noise.

As for me: a walk, a little garden puttering, knit, read, play piano, go to my body work appointment, try to ignore the tension and speculation that thicken the air. We'll know when we know. And maybe not even then.
