Will it or won't it?

In the end it did, but only a little, and I had carried on dipping the watering can in the pool and giving all the plants a very good soaking anyway. I keep trying to empty the swimming pool so that we can give it a coat of paint, and then it keeps on getting filled again because the water from half of the Mas roof goes into it.

Earlier today Jasper almost caught a cat. I'd just let him off the lead and then noticed that a cat was sitting just ahead of us in the middle of the track... he didn't move until Jasper was almost upon him, but luckily there was a tree nearby. I don't think the cat expected to be chased by a dog - there are so many in the village that they just live alongside each other. As for Jasper, doesn't he know that cats have claws?
