Bright morning

Went for a lovely morning walk with Jack and Frieda, just up to their local park and back via a circular route. Frieda napped for much of the time, after gently humming herself to sleep in the pushchair. When we got back, Jack and I checked out the young plum tree in their garden, sharing thoughts on pruning cycles and pests. Friday is his regular day at home, and he's really enjoying it.

We compared notes, too, on Biden's slender but growing lead in the US elections. Hoping for firm good news by the end of the day. Today brought reports that major US news channels had cut short their broadcasts of Trump's speech last night, because of all his lies. There is much talk of all the risks of unrest, in the days and weeks ahead.
