The Lockdown Keeper’s Inn

Always brings joy to my heart to catch up with this amazing girl. She has a deep sensitivity towards others, but is at the same time very strong - she doesn’t give up in a hurry. I have a lot of admiration for her - her quickness to apologise to and forgive others, her empathy no matter how many hurting people she meets, and her thankfulness for the smallest bit of kindness shown to her, despite always giving so much kindness away.

Some more incredibly apt Bible in one year readings. Woke up to an empty house this morning - I’ll have company again tomorrow, but it made me think of those who’ve had that as their reality since March, without many or any visitors. Then saw that today’s reading was titled “The Answer to Loneliness” - with a quote from Mother Teresa:

“Loneliness and the feeling of being uncared for and unwanted are the greatest poverty.”

Was studying tonight about blood transfusion protocols, then when it turned midnight went to check what the next Bible in one year was on...turns out the title of it is “Meet your Blood Donor”!

“Donating blood is actually a picture of what Jesus did for us, when He shed His blood so that we might live.”

Oh - and happy birthday to Hélène!!
