French deli opens in Bridge of Allan

The eagerly awaited La French Epicerie opened this afternoon, and despite the rain there was a steady flow of people to check it out.

We got there mid afternoon to find the patisseries counter almost empty. Must be the Scottish fondness for all things sweet.

All the fresh food, we were assured by the young French proprietor  (see extra photo) is cooked on the premises by his wife.

We came away with a bag stuffed with fresh olives, duck pate, yoghurt cake and other “goodies”.
That’s supper taken care of.

It’s a brave person who will open a new business in the middle of the pandemic so we wish this young French company the best of luck.
