The Only Clue

Today’s Blipfoto highlight shows the one remnant of original metal gates.

The original gates were removed as part of the World War 2 campaign to collect iron and steel as part of the war effort. It is doubtful that very much was ever used. The original gates are probably lying around in some long forgotten scrapyard.

Surprisingly there are no original drawings for the building and gates.

From this scrap I will attempt to come up with an appropriate design for replacement gates.

Today’s Blipfoto is taken from the Beadle’s garden looking into our garden. The original gate allowed for the Minister to drive his coach and horses to the stables.

After two days of fog and rain the weather is slowly improving. Tomorrow I plan to gather up some of the fallen leaves.
