The Louvre's Denon Facade

I went to the Louvre this afternoon with Lynn (our hostess from last evening's dinner). The museum has three major wings, and as you enter each one you have a view of its respective facade through its mini-pyramid above (the marvelous pyramid design by the architect I.M. Pei is subtly complex).

Do observe the perfect symmetry of this shot (speaking modestly)--if I had taken it just a couple of centimeters to either side the frame of the pyramid would not have been exactly centered on the facade :)

A couple of links on I.M. Pei's pyramid design are here and here.

My most dramatic recent Louvre image is here, with night reflections from one of the pools around the pyramids.
