Wall

I read recently that the Cyrenians charity, based in Dollar Park in Falkirk, had invited the local community to contribute to a 'poppy wall' to be displayed in the park's walled garden around the time of Remembrance Sunday and Remembrance Day itself. I was going into Falkirk this afternoon and decided to stop off at Dollar Park and have a look.

I was most impressed by the array of knitted and crocheted poppies on display. Mostly red, as one would expect, but also some purple and some white creations, all displayed on a line of bushes in the garden, and creating a visual treat as well as a symbol of remembrance.

The poppy wall is on display for only one more day, so I'm glad that I remembered to pop in this afternoon.
