A Day In The Life

Blue Jay Way

A gloomy day here. Rain is threatening and the warm temperatures that have spoiled us over the past few days are fading. It’s a wake-up call, a reality slap across the face that it’s November. By this weekend our frosty mornings return and cold north winds will settle in. This is typically the first month it snows in Maine, averaging just a couple of inches. My hope is it stays away until next month when deer hunting season officially ends. The snow gives an advantage to the hunters for tracking deer prints. Can we collectively think good thoughts for our “dear” friends, please? • Bluejays are a hearty cold weather bird that you will frequently see on my blip this winter. Just look at this guy - what a face!
