A friend recently sent me this image and it has given me so much pleasure having it on my laptop screen.

A revelation! And now I have learnt that Picasso became increasingly interested in working with clay in his later years. Over a period of 20 years he produced over 3,500 ceramic works. This is a jug, made of red earthenware clay.
