Moving day

Today Mr hazelh and I helped Paddy and Caitlin move house. We crossed town several times by car and hired van to transport their belongings from their wee flat just up the road from us in the city centre to their new (and much larger) one in Portobello.

The three most difficult items to carry up the communal stair were a mattress, a fridge, and the new (to Paddy and Caitlin) sofa (blipped).

It's been hard work, but a welcome change from sitting at my keyboard all day. The reward for our efforts was a feast of pizza and Champagne.

A little more help is required tomorrow, and then Paddy and Caitlin will face the big task of unpacking all the boxes and deciding where to keep everything that we have shifted today. Fortunately their new flat has lots of excellent storage space.

Exercise today: lifting and carrying.
