Joy brings pain

Today I found out a dear friends granddaughter that was born just in the last few days has trisomy 18. They weren't expecting bubs to survive birth but she did! She isn't expected to live long and they're relishing every second they have with her. Her middle name is Joy! Pain and sorrow mixed in with joy and delight. Life can be so cruel!
I won't be around for a couple of days. The man and I are going on holiday. I couldn't bring myself to do much else for my blip. I was sitting at my desk doodling while looking at pictures of this beautiful bub. Joy! Such a turmoil of emotions today.
