Pentlands

Earlier in the week the weather forecast had suggested that both Thursday and Friday would be reasonably sunny and not too windy and we decided that we would go into the Pentlands both days for a walk and to visit some new Turf zones. I’m glad we decided to go up the hills yesterday as today was much cooler and very much windier. Today we went up to Balerno, and went on a circular route to first, Harlaw and then, Threipmuir reservoirs. The wind seemed to be constantly in our face and was quite wearing. However as we got down to Red Moss it was a little more sheltered and pleasant as we went on the nature trail. It was as we started back towards Balerno that the sun finally managed to break through the clouds and the blip is a view towards East Cairn Hill behind the moss. The extra is an excellent gate showing the number of the house.

Best on black.
