Diwali dinner

I used to really enjoy this time of year when I was still working as our Indian colleagues would usually host a celebration event for Diwali. 2 years ago we were in Chennai on the last night of our trip to india to celebrate my friend Meera’s wedding to her childhood sweetheart. So tonight it felt right to cook some Indian dishes - onion bhaji, poppadoms, ming sauce, a mango chutney and lime pickle dip and a rather tasty chicken and pepper korma.
I also tried to make a deep fried chickpea side dish and though they were tasty, they weren’t very crunchy.

Other than getting the food organised, it’s been a quiet day in the house. I did enjoy my lie in!
