Upside Down

I had more fun with reflections today. I may as well make the most of this time, it will be frozen and white before too long. Purposely choosing a wide aperture to shorten the shutter time, I was able to get a soft look. I wanted to capture the ripples, to create distortion, and as it is a reflection, the image was not going to be sharp anyway.

The leaves on the actual tree attracted me first, then I saw the reflection and thought that made a more interesting shot with the dark branch behind. I actually framed it as a 3:2 landscape orientation, but later decided the dark branch was important and wanted to feature it down the centre.
