Foretaste of summer

Last week, when I was Skyping my daughter in Japan, she showed me the trays of tomato plants on her windowsill. I resolved to start mine off indoors this year, instead of leaving it until the weather warms up. Today I bought the compost and potted up two little trays, which will now go and sit in the kitchen (the only room in our house with a constantly warm temperature). Thinking ahead to a nice tricolore salad in a few months' time...
