Park outing

A third day of looking after Luca, while that kitchen floor gets finished at my daughter's house.
We're into quite a good routine now, this stretch of intensive time together has done us both good. So we potter about the house, we play games in the bathroom when it's time for a clean nappy - he particularly likes the slightly echoing quality of the sound in there, because of all the hard/shiny surfaces.  We sing to each other in the car. And we visit the park across the road, even when it's cold and blowy like today.
Today we only lasted about half an hour; it really was cold, and looking at this hasty phone image, I'm reminded again of how small he still is (he's now 15 months old). But there was time enough to enjoy the swings, and to mess about briefly in the sandpit. There were several other adult/child duos ever there, all well bundled up against the wind.
And even the swings are socially distanced now: alternate ones have been removed. This seems a little odd, when we are all using the same slide, sandpit, roundabouts etc. So I wish they'd left the swings intact as before.
And I've had little time to dwell on the news, over the last few days. I won't feel able to trust in a transition to  Biden/Harris administration in the States, until those electoral college votes have been cast in Dec. And as for the Cummings/Cain/Johnson soap opera, it's a sad and sorry tale to watch unfolding in the middle of a pandemic.
