If you can't beat them...

A walk in the woods.

As it is currently verboten for me to stand in Kanyl's  front garden (a couple of metres from the pavement) and talk to him while he sits on his doorstep, alternatives had to be found.  He could have walked the 3 or 4 metres and we both leaned against his wall (socially distanced of course).  That seemed firstly odd and secondly pointless.

Instead we decided to drive, separately of course, to Askham where there is a woodland walk which is within the ability of his legs.  I was a bit worried at the number of cars when we arrived thinking it could be crowded.  Luckily it wasn't so we had a pleasant wander beside the River Lowther.   All the few people we came across were walking the required 2m apart  falling in one behind the other as we each passed.  One man made us jump, he came up behind us and owing to our chatting we didn't hear him, then he spoke to make us aware and allow us to get our 2 m sorted out to let him pass.
