Before setting off for home we nipped a couple of miles up the road to the Broom House Farm Shop and Café.  We had an excellent brunch in a lovely warm "log" cabin.  Then a look into their farm shop with it's own butchery department, particularly specialising in their Aberdeen Angus.

The owners have put a lot of effort into making the farm an interesting place.  There is a forest adventure and the animal sheds are open for you to wander into.  Pigs were (when we were keeping animals at school) always my favourite.  They are such intelligent and clean animals.  Obviously the sows and piglets were an attraction for me.  Two sows with their slightly different aged litters (mine were the younger) and "big Daddy" an enormous Large White boar.
