If you can't beat them...

Lumiere - Durham cathedral

First let me thank everybody who visited, stared and favourited my 6 years blip yesterday.

Having stayed in the Durham area over night we decided to have the day in the city and then round things off by seeing the lumiere again.  So up and of to Clickychick's friends house.  Again we left the car there and used our bus passes to go into town.

We had an interesting, if tiring day round the city and then headed for the cathedral, intending to queue to go through the cathedral again.  Before that we had a disappointing visit to the "Café on the green".   The table was dirty and when CC asked for a cloth to clean it she was told they would send somebody through, nobody appeared.  An order for a pot of tea for two became two cardboard cups with tea in.  Others had had mugs and teapots they were still on our table.

Finally we decided not to queue and headed along the river walk (needless to say after a reasonable day it had started to pour down).  All day long we had been playing pass the parcel camera owing to my stupidity in forgetting my battery.   When we got opposite the cathedral the "fog" being created and the lights created a wonderful effect not really captured well on camera.
