BALD EAGLE

Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus); immature. He will not develop the characteristically white head and tail plummage until he's five years old. It changes gradually over the five years.

Sometimes one just gets lucky. Eagles have eyes like no other bird...they can spot a rabbit from a mile away and they are very keen to keep away from humans. Perhaps this adolescent was just curious...he kept getting closer and closer. Perfect Blip for the day.
