Kirkwall Cathedral

Dougal and mesel’ were taken out to lunch today by our carers.  Good news is that the dish of the day was serving.  Not such good news for Dougal however as he’s just had a cancer diagnosis and he awaits departure to Aberdeen for op / chemo / radiotherapy.

On the way home we called in past the big City.  I was delegated to go for several things fae Shearers (Capstan, oat milk, tin of brasso, loose tea, shoe polish, celery, horse liniment, Caithness cheese etc).  Those of you who are habituees of said emporium will know that all of the above is available under one roof.

I hope you all realise we are well and truly into clapshot season.  This is the first year I haven’t been at a Harvest Home for about 45 years.

Gary Innes is 39.
