It’s been that kind of a day around here

Oh the Joys of living in The Field.
Yesterday it seems that our septic pipe froze so we needed to revert to minimal water use for the day. Five minute showers, few toilet trips, and no laundry.

The repair guy with his large truck was to be here by nine am to fix the problem, so the limited activities were ok on a temporary basis.

Well, the snow was falling most of the night so it was all a bit slippery, I guess. He drove into the yard and couldn’t make it up a small incline. He spun his tires down to the grass and couldn’t budge it.

So we called for help and after a while a farmer arrived with his tractor to pull him out. Saved the day.

It’s the simple things in life I guess. Sure miss them when those modern conveniences are gone.
