Beneath Biscay

The Long and the Short and the Tall

... bless 'em all

My collection of vintage film-era manual Pentax prime lenses, plus a vintage 2x teleconverter.

It started with a SMC Pentax 135mm F2.5, then I couldn't resist  a Pentax-M 200mm which was even cheaper and then the heavyweight, a SMC Pentax 300mm F4 still relatively cheap. In addition I purchased an old manual Pentax K T6-X2 Tele Converter. The whole lot cost considerably less less than a modern equivalent of any one of them individually would have cost.

The only slight shock was having to stump up customs €25 duty and a €15 customs agent fee on the 135mm because it came from Japan. One of the benefits of being in the EU is being able to buy and sell across so many countries, without having to think about customs duties and customs brokers fees. I hope the UK manages to get a free trade deal before the transition period ends.
