Beacon on the hill

Found this beacon in Elmdon Park. I thought it was maybe for the Millennium or the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. On closer inspection it was lit on December 31st 1992 to celebrate the Single European Union!
Can’t believe that I found it just before we are about to leave!!
