Just before dawn

We woke just before dawn and the sun was lighting up interesting and varied cloud formations, so I rolled out of bed, grabbed my camera and went out in my dressing gown to capture the some shots of the emerging sky. 
We enjoyed a longer walk this morning after breakfast. It was a bright morning, with just occasional flurries of passing rain. We passed a line of cheerful painted stones on a track more than a mile from the nearest village. (See extras.) The sunflowers that were in the accompanying bed have faded and died but the painted pebbles brought smiles to our faces and provided a heart warming art exhibition for us to discuss as we passed.
