Snow Bird

Greetings from the dark-eyed Junco! Why are they called snow birds? They actually summer and breed in Canada and then head “south” to the US to winter. They are ground feeders and sleep in evergreen trees after eating at dusk. We welcomed them back a few weeks ago • A chilly Sunday here. After getting our river view fix we stocked up on specialty seeds and suet for our beloved and spoiled feathered friends. We also visited our favorite greenhouse to purchase a wreath and kissing ball for the outdoors after Thanksgiving • It’s hard to believe Thanksgiving is less than a week away • We’ll be sipping G&Ts soon at Happy Hour with friends. One lives in TX, the other in CT. Both are wine lovers. We’ve known one another for more than 35 years • Cheers to you!
