A Day In The Life

Redemption

Today seemed to be a good day as any for redemption. It’s Monday, the beginning of a new week, perfect for a fresh start. So MrsP and I loaded up the car with all of our returnables. So many bottles and cans had accumulated in our laundry area over the past six months. Numerous plastic tonic water bottles, green Tanqueray bottles, and favorite beer and wine bottles, all cleaned, bagged and counted. Chee, did we actually drink all of that? Yep, $7.15 worth! • The local redemption center is a bit of an eyesore, and, sadly, sits near the edge of the river. The floors are sticky and the hard working folks inside are always friendly and helpful. While leaving I noticed an eagle perched in a nearby tree so we parked the car to watch for a few minutes. I figured a cell phone shot was better than nothing, but hope to return tomorrow with the camera, thankfully, without redemption • We also stopped at the grocery store for fresh fruit before visiting our local Reny’s Store in search of Stocking stuffers…
