Rippled

Our Dutch weekend photo assignment was 'distortion through water'. If you start thinking about it there are so many ways a view can be distorted by water, be that through reflections, refractions, through glass containing water etc. Our teacher introduced us to the artist Suzanne Saroff who has done some great images using watery distortion through glasses with water. I did try to copy some of that at home, but wasn't very satisfied with my efforts. In the end the simple distortion of raindrops falling into our pond rippling the reflections won today for my Blip.  And it did give me another idea for this coming week's Abstract Thursday's optional theme. It's 'water' leaving you with endless possibilities of making an abstract which has something to do with water :-) The tag this coming week will be AT283.

Thanks so much for all the Abstract Thursday entries last week. As usual you made it quite hard for me to choose just 5 specials, but here they are:
mambo              purest green
JennyOwen       wet bench curves
gordo                  red glassed soundwaves look alikes
Dieulafit             caged
Doingok             blue lights and shapes

And thank you very much for the kind comments and stars for yesterday's amaryllis flowers
