Sidney Myer Free Concert at the Bowl, Melbourne

I took this photo after a fantastic first full day in Melbourne with my godmother Michelle. We took the infamous tram to St Kilda beach and observed the marvellous bay and all the half naked sun bakers. Later that evening we joined Michelle's friend in the Botanical Gardens for a free classical music concert at the Bowl. We listened to the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) play Beethoven and Bartok while the sun set over the Melbourne skyline. After the concert we were both ravenous as we were unable to bring a picnic, so we headed to Sake in the Arts Centre and had the most marvellous sashimi and dumplings! It was 'heaps yummy!'

Melbourne is such a wonderful city. Just sitting on the tram Michelle and I could hear every language under the sun. This is a truly multi-cultural city with so many things happening.
