Taylor River Bed

Another cloudless day with blue, blue skies. Not a drop of rain in sight and we could certainly do with some!
I walked the dogs right up to the foot of the Taylor Dam today and back. They got pretty hot. We stopped for the occasional dip in the deeper pools and I harvested some watercress.
This image is captured about five minutes from the vehicle.
You can see Gypsy in among the foliage in the left foreground.
There is a small amount of water in the river bed shingles, reflecting the blue of the sky. The biggest mountain in the distance is Mount Robertson in the Richmond Range. A wide open vista which can look entirely different in other seasons.
