Sunset with Stripes

It's good to see the sunset through a zebra! These layers were not created digitally ... this is what the camera lens saw. Can you work out how/why?

Apologies again for my failure to keep up on friends' blips ... but I am spending a huge amount of time helping the family. (As little Miss B is waking several times a night - most nights - at the moment, we are trying to ensure the parents get some sleep when they can.)
