Waiting for the band

Went out for the third night in a row - my energy was definitely flagging by the time I went to bed. I'm too old for this level of socialising as well as marathon training!

I went to see Calexico, an American band who play a mixture of modern country, latin and rock music. They had a great spirit and really got the crowd going. Karen was due to come but then had to go to work in Manchester so I went with some friends. I'd forgotten it was a standing gig so it was probably as well that she wasn't there. As a small person she's always at a disadvantage standing behind burly blokes.
